ORIGIN & FUNCTIONS

COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR

Appointed by the Board of County Commissioners, the County Administrator supervises and implements the policies and instructions of the Board of County Commissioners, and serves as liaison officer between county departments and agencies and the Board of County Commissioners (County Code, secs. 4-1 through 4-5).

ETHICS COMMISSION

Appointed by the Board of County Commissioners, the Ethics Commission consists of three members who serve four-year terms (County Code, secs. 166-1 through 166-10).

COUNTY TREASURER

The County Treasurer collects and disburses all taxes levied in Cecil County.

Elected by the voters every four years, the County Treasurer takes office on the first Monday in January following the general election (County Code, secs. 78-1 through 78-5).
